As I sit here and write another Freeport, Texas Fishing Report, I think back on the past week and some of the amazing catches we have had on our recent Freeport, Texas Fishing Charters. We take anglers of all skill levels. This past week I had a group on the boat, and one of the guys that was in his mid-40s had never caught a fish…. I mean NEVER caught a fish! Well, I can tell you this… on our Freeport Fishing Charter… he caught his first fish and many, many more after! He caught a full limit of beautiful BaySnapper and even a redfish or two. On another trip, Tyler had never caught a speckled trout… and last Saturday he caught his first ever speckled trout… a 28” BigFatGirl! We took photos and released her to spawn and maybe someone else will get a chance to catch her. Tyler and his group went on to give IceNaps to a beautiful box of delicious fish – BaySnapper and PuppyDrum. These two particular trips took place along the Galveston Jetties and in West Galveston Bay. Our Freeport, Texas Fishing Guides have been running a good number of charters along both the North and South Galveston Jetties. Fishing along these granite rock reefs is tough to beat for a wide variety of fish species as well as BIG Fish! We always use natural live baits on a Galveston Jetty Fishing Charter, and anglers of any level can have a successful outing on this trip.

Another great area to fish right now is the Bay’s of Freeport and Marshes. Especially for those that want to enjoy a day on the water, avoid the crowds, and see some beautiful natural scenery – a Freeport Bay and Marsh Trip should be on your “to do list”. They always choose this trip because of the calm waters, no chance of seasickness and they fish catching action. We caught speckled trout, BaySnapper, redfish, drum and even a few flounder sprinkled in. We used live shrimp under a popping cork and fished in 2-4 foot of water over oyster beds. If you are looking for a relaxing day on the water with some amazing scenery and lots of action – check out our Freeport Bay and Marsh Fishing Charters. This is the same area we have our Summer Kids Fishing Camps, and it is a great family friendly fishing charter if you are visiting Freeport or Galveston, Texas.

On another note, our Freeport Deep Sea Fishing Charters will be getting underway as Red Snapper Season in Texas will open June 1. With limited dates available, do not hesitate to book your Red Snapper Fishing Charter Today! Click here for more details, or call 409-739-8526 and I will be happy to answer any questions.
